She Had a Mind of Her Own
I made this piece with no particular image or idea in mind other than to indulge in the sensuality of working in clay. As the piece got taller and taller, and as I smoothed out the coils from inside the pot, I realized that it seemed to want to bulge in certain places. Instead of fighting it into a more conventional shape, I let it happen. Firing it outside with other Raku pieces encapsulated the excitement I felt in making this pot.
