Monument for Holland and Belgium

Like many people, I was deeply moved by reading Anne Frank’s diary.  I visited her home in Amsterdam, tried hard to imagine living in fear and in such a small confined space.  From my mother’s reporting of Holocaust history to me, I inherited a special kinship for the Dutch, whom my mom always said were “good to the Jews”.  Thus, I was dismayed to read an article from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on October 23, 2018 about people who were protesting Holocaust memorials being built in Holland and Belgium.  I decided to create my own memorial.  Here is the link to the article: https://www.jta.org/2018/10/23/global/why-are-holocaust-monuments-sparking-protest-in-holland
